The Gilded Age NYC Map is a free, interactive map of 32 real New York City locations featured in or connected to HBO's The Gilded Age, covering Seasons 1 through 4. It was created as a fan resource for viewers who want to explore the real history behind the show — the mansions, parks, hotels, and landmarks that shaped New York during the 1880s and beyond.
Whether you are rewatching the series, planning a walking tour, or simply curious about Gilded Age New York, this map lets you see where the story meets the real city.
Our Methodology
Each location on the map is identified and verified through a combination of sources: historical records and archives, dialogue and visual clues from the show, filming location reports, and fan sightings from the community.
Every location includes a confidence score from 0 to 100%, reflecting how certain we are about its placement. The score considers several factors:
- Whether an exact historical address is documented in period records
- Whether filming actually took place at the real-world location
- Whether the show explicitly names or depicts a real address
- Whether the identification comes from verified fan sightings of filming activity
A location with a score of 95% has strong documentary evidence, while a score of 50% may indicate an educated placement based on the neighborhood and era described in the show.
