Season 4 filmed at the corner of E 27th Street and Park Avenue South on March 23, 2026. Reddit user u/AccessKind8489 photographed the door of Oscar van Rhijn's character trailer (#9), bearing the official "The Gilded Age — Season Four" nameplate. Reading a Basecamp

A row of labelled trailers is the signature of a production "basecamp" — the staging area where cast trailers, hair and makeup, wardrobe, and catering park for the day, usually a short shuttle ride from wherever the cameras actually are. A character nameplate like "9. Oscar van Rhijn" is unusually rich evidence: it confirms not just that The Gilded Age was working here, but that a named principal was called that day. The neighboring trailers marked with first names likely belong to other cast or key crew. Since basecamps sit near, not on, the set, the cameras were most plausibly rolling within the surrounding blocks — which matches the official HBO parking notice photographed the same day covering E 26th–28th Streets (see the Madison Square Area pin), and the fan-reported activity at the Prince George Ballroom one block away on 27th Street.

This Corner in the 1880s

Park Avenue South was Fourth Avenue in the show's day, and the corner of 27th Street stood at the edge of the city's social bullseye. Madison Square, a block west, was ringed by the era's great hotels and restaurants — Delmonico's at 26th and Fifth, the Brunswick with its coaching parades, the Hoffman House with its famous bar, all pins on this map. The blocks just east held stables, club annexes, and the service economy that kept society running. It is a neat coincidence of production logistics that the show's trailers parked on the same blocks where the carriages, grooms, and caterers of the real Gilded Age once staged the social season — the 1880s version of a basecamp.
